If you’re looking for a place to be during the festive season, then is has to be Woodlands Hall. With a multitude of events and performances throughout the week, you’ll also be able to take advantage of the extensive menu we have here which includes Sunday Lunch, Sunday Roast Roll, take away pizza and even weekly specials. Plus there are a range of different accomodation options to suit, whether you want to stay in the Woodlands Hall Hotel, the brand new Woodlands Retreat or one of our caravans equipped with a hot tub. Winter Walks
If it’s not the charming Cumbrian countryside, it’s the wonderous Welsh hills. We’re blessed that our parks are situated in some of the most breath-taking locations in the whole UK. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker, or just looking for a scenic location to take your four legged friend, there are paths and routes to suit any hiking ability. If you’re looking to catch some beautiful snow topped tree’s we’d recommend Grizedale Forest, perfect if you’re staying at our Lake District caravan park; Manor House. On the other hand, if you’d like to take in the hills of Wales, we have plenty on offer too. Woodlands Hall is located right at the foot of the Clwydian Range, an area of outstanding beauty, with fantastic places to see such as Moel Famau and Loggerheads.
Light Switch On's and Christmas Markets
There’s plenty of choice when it comes to Christmas Markets and light switch on’s in North Wales and Cumbria. If you’re in Manor House then we’d recommend the Ambleside light switch on which features fireworks and a lantern parade as well as plenty of Christmas stalls. The Hawkshead Christmas Fayre are also a must visit!
If you’re in North Wales then there’s plenty of Christmas Markets and Light switch on’s you can enjoy here too. The Rhyl Christmas light switch on is a great day out if you’re staying in Lido Beach. And there are some fantastic Christmas markets locally too. We’d recommend the Beaumaris Victorian Christmas at Beaumaris Castle which is an eerie step back in time to how Christmas used to be. There is also the very much hailed Llandudno Christmas markets if you’re staying at Lido Beach, or if you’re at Caerelwan or Moelfre View then the Port Meirion Christmas event is well worth a visit!
Christmas Shows
He’s behind you! Christmas time is the time for pantomimes and there are plenty to visit here in North Wales and the Lake District. Rhyl Pavilion Theatre has a full range of Christmas shows and is just a short drive from Lido Beach. There are also fantastic theatres such as Venue Cymru in Llandudno and Theatr Clwyd in Flintshire, which are all accessible by car. If you’re in Woodlands Hall, you may want to pay a visit to the William Aston Hall or the Catrin Finch Centre which have regular shows and are just a short car journey to Wrexham. And if you’re in one of our Barmouth Parks, The Dragon Theatre is on your doorstep with Pontio and Galeri Caernarfon further afield.
The Lake District is also host to a multitude of theatres showcasing fantastic entertainment this Winter such as Theatre by the Lake and Rheged.
