The stats say it all: only 33% of Brits are planning on travelling internationally this year, and online searches for city breaks were down by 93% during 2020 as a whole.

Uncertainty around international travel (from both Covid-19 and Brexit concerns) has paved the way for a brighter British future. This is why at Lyons Holiday Parks, we’re all about reacting to our customers’ needs. We took on board the projection of staycation booms, and the fact that the North Wales coastline has been a highly popular resort for over a century.

We have now been provided with the perfect opportunity to expand our flagship park, creating more luxury plots in a fantastic coastal setting. To make way for a brighter future, the old has to work with the new. And here’s how Hawthorn View at Lyons Robin Hood is the prime example of progression and development.

What is Hawthorn View?

Hawthorn View isn’t just a new development with a handful of desirable plots. It reflects our commitment to improving and developing the park. It shows how we’re constantly refreshing areas of the park that we feel could do with a bit of TLC, while still maintaining the much-loved ethos of the park and its values.

Each new plot offers something special: an opportunity for a new young family to be welcomed into the Lyons’ pack. What it means for the group

The construction of Hawthorn View has been a valuable project undertaken by our workforce during the pandemic. We were relieved to ensure that dozens of our maintenance, contractors and other employees were able to undertake valuable work during a time of economic recession.

This also meant that the work carried out had minimal impact on holiday homeowners during seasonal times. The lockdown of 2020 was a heartbreaking time for many owners. Despite this, we have been committed to utilising this time wisely to get our new development underway. Despite the downturn in visitors, Lyons continued with our plan of investment by creating additional plots for new faces on-park.

When will it be finished?

Our contractors have been working hard over lockdown and during seasonal closure, and we’re excited for Hawthorn View to be completed by early April 2021!       Hi Janet, thanks for your enquiry! Subletting (renting out your holiday home) is something we do allow on park and many owners find it’s a great way to earn back some cash on their site fees, which start from £3920 at Lyons Robin Hood. Our fantastic range of holiday homes start from £24,995 and are available to view on the ‘holiday home ownership’ section of the website. We are most certainly pet-friendly, and we do offer a sublet scheme whereby we’ll take care of all the cleaning for you if you have rental bookings.
