1. Dog-friendly pubs in Conwy

The Albion Ale House, Conwy

Second on the Dog-Friendly Pubs Awards 2017 is this cosy puppy pub on Upper Gate Street, Conwy. There’s even a menu for pooches consisting of chicken & rice, kibble, lamb, or salmon! Beware, as this ale-house doesn’t actually sell human food (except for pork pies) but it does obtain a Grade-II listed status with “special architectural interest as a public house on a prominent corner site.”

Queen Victoria, Llandudno 

A friendly pub and restaurant conveniently situated near Llandudno’s popular prom. Close to all local amenities and near the pier with great views of the Great Orme, this is the ideal post-walk spot for dog-walkers and families alike.

The Mulberry, Conwy 

Listen to the experts: “With outdoor seating overlooking the marina, The Mulberry is a brilliant place to kick back and enjoy a meal with friends, the family or even the dog.” Try this stunning waterside pub while touring at Lyons Pendyffryn Hall in Penmaenmawr.

The Toad, Colwyn Bay

Considered one of the best places to eat and one of the most welcoming dog-friendly pubs on the West Shore, you can expect quality wines and spirits as well as traditional British pub food over the stunning sea views overlooking Colwyn Bay.

George & Dragon, Conwy

Nestled in the heart of the Conwy community, this dog-friendly pub serves a fantastic range of food and drink while boasting a warm and friendly atmosphere. Try the fish & chips – you won’t be disappointed!

2. Dog-friendly pubs in Denbighshire

Telford Inn, Llangollen

Only a stones-throw away from Thomas Telford’s famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct is this quaint inn, just off the Offa’s Dyke Path, is one of the best dog-friendly pubs in Denbighshire. Albeit small on the inside, it offers a warm welcome as well as a heartwarming grub all day.

Torello Lounge, Prestatyn 

One of the quirkier options to choose from on this list, this High Street gem is definitely one to visit with your furry buddies. Expect an eclectic mix of tapas, draft beers, ciders and even cocktails/ mocktails, while watching local shoppers pass by from inside this rustic joint. This gem is located only a stones-throw away from Lyons Lido Beach!

Doris’s Bunker, Trelogan 

The cutest cafe in the area (in our opinion anyway!) Not so much a pub as a cafe, but we couldn’t miss this fantastic spot off the list. Situated on the site of NCAR (North Clwyd Animal Rescue), Doris’s Bunker is a fairly new set up which caters to dog-walkers, the volunteers at the rescue centre, and even the pooches themselves!

Dinorben Arms, Bodfari

It’s definitely worth heading off the beaten track to venture to this country-style historic pub. Nestled in the shadows of St Stephen’s Church, this restaurant and bar had 4/5 reviews on Trip Advisor – and 5/5 from the dog-walkers and pooches in the area for its fantastic menu, warm setting and rural views.

Three Pigeons Inn, Ruthin 

This family-run pub is of ‘ancient construction according to the owners. With its many original features such as oak beams and open log fires, classic decoration, and traditional feel, the Three Pigeons is considered a fantastic place to enjoy great beer and good companionship.

3. Dog-friendly pubs in Gwynedd

The View, Abersoch

The paw-fect place to refuel with your pet after a long beach walk in Pwllheli! This family-run restaurant boasts not only panoramic views of the famous coast, but the pet-loving owners offer a warm welcome to dogs of all shapes and sizes.

The latest member of the Beach Buddies is ZeZe! After Leo, Milo and Hetty enjoyed the delights of Mombasa Beach and the Chalbi desert on their backpacking trip through Kenya, they made a friend in ZeZe, the sassy, rockin’ and dazzling Zebra. ZeZe has a natural flair for playing any instrument available to her and she loves writing songs for her friends. Much to the delight of Hetty who loves a boogie.

Milo loves to tell jokes… “Why did the monkey take its banana to the doctors? It wasn’t peeling good.”

Cool and smart, Leo is definitely, the “mane” man!

Full of energy, Leo is a probably the coolest guy you’ll ever meet and he loves making new friends! You will often find Leo socialising with all his friends and hosting the best parties. Hetty loves all things colourful and covered in sparkles, her favourite colour is pink… all shades of pink! Baby pink, bubble-gum pink, flamingo… She loves them all! Kind-hearted and loveable, Hetty loves to meet new friends and giving them all a big hippo hug. You can’t help but feel all warm and fuzzy when you meet Hetty.
