Whether you are looking for a snack and a drink or a full blown meal, the cafe as you covered, and what better way to help your food go down than with some live music? The cafe hosts touring bands and artists as well as the odd comedy night. It’s a real hidden gem in the city with something going on nearly every evening.
CellB – Blaenau Ffestiniog
CellB is a really unusual and fun creative space that is part hostel, part bar, part live venue, part cinema! An all-round arts hub in North Wales, CellB not only offers accommodation and refreshments but on any given night you will also be able to catch some kind of musical performance going on. Whether it’s a DJ spinning the tracks or a gentle acoustic performance, there is always something to discover at CellB.
Clwb Canol Dre – Caernarfon
This a local music club that is located within the historic walls of Caernarfon Castle! Guests can enjoy a really great night out at Clwb Canol Dre, with plenty of live music throughout the week and regular special events across the calendar. The venue is a favourite of locals and tourists alike.
Hermon Chapel – Oswestry
Another hidden gem in the region, Hermon Chapel is a unique and special entertainment hub that caters to lots of different and varied tastes. Primarily an arts venue, the Hermon Chapel has many different strings to its bow, with live music being one of them. Listed as an ‘arts and innovation centre’, Pontio is a great hub for things like cinema and music in Bangor. Affiliated with the University of Bangor, Pontio is a place where you can experience some great local music, as well as the occasional touring artist. It is a great venue if you prefer your live music experiences to be a little more intimate and curated.
Tafarn Y Gader – Dolgellau
Kill two birds with one stone at Tafarn & Gader with an evening of delicious tapas combined with an evening of great music! This relaxed setting is perfect for a night out if you prefer something a little more relaxed and low key.
