It is always a tough decision, when there’s a mouth-watering range of scoops on display, so to make things a little easier, we’ve done the homework and rounded up a few North Wales ice cream parlours to choose from. This leaves you free to relax and enjoy everything your Lyons Holiday Park has to offer, knowing exactly where to head for great ice cream when the temperatures rise.
Firstly, Forte’s Ice Cream Parlour on Mostyn Broadway in Llandudno is a chic little outlet with seating, a short stroll from the seafront. As well as ice cream, they also offer hot drinks, snacks, cream sodas, waffles and even gluten-free cornets.
Rhyl boasts an ice cream parlour that’s been in the family for over 100 years. Sidoli’s was founded in 1910 and has been going strong ever since. The only thing that has ever stopped the sale of the Sidoli family’s ice cream was the advent of rationing during the Second World War. These days, visitors to the shop, on Wellington Street, can enjoy some of the original shop features along with the nostalgic ambience. In a fast-moving world it’s nice to know that some things stay the same, vanilla ice cream as the best seller at Sidoli’s being one of them.
If you like your ice cream with the option of a castle, take the short hop along the coast to Conwy and you will find Parisella’s Ice Cream Parlour on the High Street. This place has an impressive variety of flavours including Ferrero Rocher and Chocolate Orange, all made in the company’s own local factory. Parisella’s also have a full of range of hot drinks, as well as offering crepes and sundaes.
For those people with green fingers, or if you want something to do away from the beach, North Wales Ice Cream World combines gardening and 48 different ice cream flavours! Claiming to have the largest selection of ice cream in Wales, and with tempting flavours like Blue Bubblegum , Blackcurrant Eton Mess, and Raspberry Pannacotta this place could certainly be worth a visit. Find this parlour at North Wales Garden World in Kinmel Bay, near Conwy.
Whilst all Lyons Holiday Parks static caravans come fully equipped with beautiful kitchens for self-catering, hot summer days just wouldn’t be the same without a delicious ice cream to chill out with. Don’t forget this July, it’s officially ok to grab a cornet or two and in North Wales you will truly be spoilt for choice.
