Lyons St. Mary’s For A Wonderful Family Holiday
First up, there’s Lyons St. Mary’s. Situated at Gronant in Flintshire, with stunning views, this site has everything for a family holiday. It’s close to sandy beaches and a horse riding centre, and has its own fishing lake, wonderful dog walks, an adventure play area and a nearby pub and restaurant.
There’s even a free bus so that you can take advantage of even more fun activities at the Lyons Robin Hood site. Rhyl, with its fantastic Seaquarium, and Botanical Gardens, is within easy reach. So is Prestatyn, with all its seaside attractions, while castle buffs will be spoiled for choice – there are loads in this area. And while you’re here, take a look at some of the stunning natural attractions, such as Dyserth Waterfall.
Pendyffryn Hall Country Club – Perfect Base For Cycling
Pendyffryn Hall in Conwy is a caravan park and country club, set in idyllic scenery in the Snowdonia National Park with views overlooking Puffin Island and the Menai Straits. There are lots of special interest events at Pendyffryn, so it’s well worth checking the calendar. The touring park has been added recently, and it’s a great new resource for people wanting to explore this scenic part of North Wales.
If you and your family are cyclists, this is an ideal spot for getting to know the national cycle route called NCN5. This is almost traffic free, very quiet, and runs along the side of the sea for 20 miles, from Prestatyn to Conwy. If you don’t fancy doing the whole thing, take a relaxing ride and come back to the Country Club for a well earned dinner or family barbecue.
Manor House Park – Great Choice Of Activities In Majestic Lakeland
We’ve just added Lyons Manor House Park in Cumbria, near the village of Allonby. The Manor House site has majestic views of the Solway Firth and the Lake District. It’s a great venue for a holiday at any time of the year, and for those who don’t drive, or are travelling with cycles, it’s near a number of railway stations.
There’s something for absolutely everyone at the Manor House Park. If you’re a poetic and romantic type, Wordsworth’s house and garden are nearby in Cockermouth, as of course, are many of the places that inspired his best loved poems. Of course, while you’re at Cockermouth, you might want to visit Jennings Brewery and take the tour before sampling their brew (just for quality control!).
There’s lots for children too – there’s the Lake District Wildlife Park at Bassenthwaite, and a host of activities at Maryport including a climbing wall, Karting track, and child-friendly caving experience. It’s a brilliant area to bring children on holiday – they will never be bored.
All of our touring sites are grassed, and have everything you need to live comfortably when staying – electric hook-ups, fresh water, washing up stations, a shower and toilet block and chemical disposal facilities. They all have a supermarket close by, and a helpful touring warden who will give any assistance you need.
To find out more about availability, just call the site you want to visit.
