It’s nearly Bonfire Night, and that means loads of great firework displays are happening around North Wales! This year, November 5th is on a Monday, so many events are taking place on the weekend before and after. There are plenty of firework displays to choose from when staying in North Wales, read on to find out more information.
Llanfwrog Community Centre
In Ruthin, the Llanfwrog Community Centre will have two firework displays on Sunday 4th November. The children’s firework display Twinkles begins at 6.30pm followed by the main display 7pm. Food and drink stalls will be there, along with some stalls from local shops. Entry is free, but donations are requested.
Bodafon Farm has an annual firework display. There is free admission to the event, which begins at 5pm on Monday 5th November and ends at 10pm. Expect a big bonfire, fireworks, BBQ and woodfired pizza too.
At Plas yn Dre car park on Friday 9th November, there will be a fairground and food and hot drink stalls. Entry is free, and the fireworks will be set off at 7pm.
In Abergele, there will be two firework displays at Pensarn Beach on Saturday 3rd November. The toddler display begins at 6.15pm with a large bonfire from 7pm and the main firework display at 7.45pm. Entry is from 5pm and 6pm, and admission is £2.50 for adults, over fives £1 and family tickets are £7.
Mary Hughes Memorial Playing Fields
In Talybont/Llanbedr, the annual fireworks display and bonfire is on Monday 5th November at 7.30pm at the Mary Hughes Memorial Playing Fields. Refreshments will also be available at the Memorial Hall from 6.30pm.
The annual Eirias Park bonfire and fireworks events in Conwy will be on Monday 5th November. Doors open at 6pm, the bonfire will be lit at 7.15pm, and the fireworks start at 7.30pm. Entry is free, but donations to the Firefighter’s Charity are welcome.
Rhyl’s annual firework display returns to Rhyl Showfields on Monday 5th November. Entry is £1 per adult and children are free. The event begins at 6pm, with the bonfire being lit at 7.30pm. The firework display is scheduled for 8pm approximately.
Rocket Firework Train
Llangollen Railway is putting on its annual special firework event on Saturday 3rd November. Tickets are £18 for adults and £12 for children with under threes free. The train leaves Llangollen to Carrog, and on the return stops at Glyndyfrdwy Station for fireworks. There is a bar on board selling alcohol and soft drinks.
