Family Friendly Activities During May Half Term

 May half term and bank holiday are just around the corner, and with family days out, picnics and more, there is plenty to do that will keep the whole family entertained when staying at our caravans for sale North Wales.

Brilliant Bugs Quiz Trail at RSPB Conwy

Every day between Saturday 26 May and Sunday 3 June, you can follow the Brilliant Bugs Quiz Trail through the nature reserve. Just pay £1 per quiz sheet and see how many creatures you can spot along the way. RSPB Conwy also holds wildlife walks every Saturday at 11am and volunteers can help you spot and identify the wildlife on the reserve.

Abergele Food & Craft Festival

In the historic town of Abergele, which can be found near our holiday parks, is the annual Food & Craft Festival in Pentre Mawr Park on Saturday 26 May. The event opens at 11am and there will be 150 stalls from over Wales selling food, drink and crafts. There is also a dog show, children’s area, animal petting area and a bouncy castle. The park is not far from the sea too!

Peppa Pig Adventure at Venue Cymru 

On the first weekend of half term, 26 and 27 May, you can meet Peppa Pig and her friends in Llandudno! The live event takes place at Venue Cymru in Llandudno at 10am, 1pm and 4pm on both the Saturday and Sunday. You will be able to join Peppa as she gets ready for a camping trip with George, Pedro Pony, Suzy Sheep and more. The show is perfect for younger children! Check Venue Cymru for prices.

Summer Stories at Conwy Castle

Wales is famous for its literature and poetry, and you can head to Conwy Castle and other Cadw sites to hear an exciting tale of Wales. There will be stories about historical characters, myths, legends and more about Wales. Each story will last around 30 minutes, and no booking is required. You can add listening to a storyteller to a fun day out at Conwy Castle.

It’s a Chemystery at Techniquest Wrexham

Techniquest in Wrexham is a great place to go with the family, especially on rainy days. There are loads of hands-on games, exhibits and puzzles to entertain you and through half term week, It’s a Chemystery show will merge magic with science, as objects will disappear, juice is turned to water and much more exciting experiments are expected!

Pirate Week at GreenWood Forest Park

Throughout half term, GreenWood Forest Park will be celebrating Visit Wales’ Year of the Sea with a specially themed Pirate Week. Enjoy pirate shows in the Forest Theatre, face painting, hair braiding and body art, a treasure hunt with prizes, and Nader’s Pyro Art! In addition to the fun to be had with Pirate Week, the rest of GreenWood will be open for exploring – great for sunny days you won’t be spending on the beach!

Knightly’s Funfair at Towyn

Knightly’s Funfair in Towyn has a great range of rides suitable for the whole family; there are high thrills on the go-kart track, bouncing on the Tagada and a new ride for 2018, the Orbiter Extreme! There are plenty of rides at Knightly’s Funfair too, along with games and food stalls, so you can easily spend the day there. Throughout half term, the funfair will be open from 11am to 10pm.
