There is no denying that children, young and old, will love the fantastic attractions waiting to be enjoyed on arrival to North Wales! Whether you are looking for something educational or you are searching for somewhere your little ones can let off some steam, there is something for everyone.

Techniquest Glyndwr, Wrexham

At the Techniquest Glyndwr, education can be more than fun. With over 65 exhibits and games, each encouraging children to get hands-on, there is plenty to keep young minds occupied. The attraction offers something a little different to the usual, with each science-related exhibition being interactive, as you tour around, your children will have difficulty in not getting involved. From live chemistry shows, craft, story time, puzzles and mazes, the Techniquest Glyndwr is an incredibly fun learning environment that offers a fantastic day out for families with children.

Gypsy Wood, Caernarfon

There is an abundance of fun-filled adventures to be had at Gypsy Wood and the number of attractions there will ensure that you have a jack-packed day full of making fond family memories. One of the main attractions is the magical Woody’s Train. It takes up to 24 little passengers around the stunning park and gardens. Alongside the exciting train ride, there is a large undercover play area, so come rain or shine, children can enjoy the great outdoors and run, jump, climb, swing and slide to their heart’s content! As if that wasn’t enough, there is also trampolines, tunnels, duck racing, zip wire and a musical tree-house. So, why not take the family for a day full of entertainment at the Gypsy Wood?

Open daily during the summer, from 10.30am-5pm. Prices are between £3.75 and £7.95, with family and weekly tickets available.

Welsh Mountain Zoo, Conwy

Spend a day in the life of a keeper at the Welsh Mountain Zoo, with so much to do; a helping hand is always appreciated! Visitors are invited to meet some of the animals, give them a feed and tidy up their pens, as well as quiz the keepers with any questions which may arise during the process! Practising keepers will be awarded for their days’ hard work with a goodie bag, t-shirt and a special certificate. Due to the nature of the keepers’ day, it is only suitable for teens and adults, but it is sure to keep them well amused, and for little ones, there are plenty of animals to admire and playtime to be had!

Open all year, weather dependent. Open at 9.30am with various closing times throughout. Tickets vary from £9.54 and £14.70, with family tickets available. Discount is given for seniors, students, disabled and carers.

Bodafon Farm Park, Llandudno

Open all year round, come rain or shine, the Bodafon Farm Park gives visitors the opportunity to experience and view a working farm. The farm life at the park includes donkeys, deer, llamas, goats, reindeers, owls, cows and rabbits, many of the furry friends also love to make new friends and enjoy being fed by visitors. Spring is often considered the best time to go, as the farm is full of new life, cute and fluffy lambs will be dotting the field as well as beautiful calves. The park is also part of the North Wales Bird Trust, and they rescue injured and wild birds of prey to promote the conservation of the stunning creatures in the area.

Enjoy a tour of the ocean from the comfort of Rhyl SeaQuarium! With captivating zones taking you to the deepest depths of the ocean to the sandy beaches, there is a lot of fascinations to be admired. From the British coast, sandy shores and rocky coasts to the shipwreck zone and deep ocean, your journey will be filled with incredible sights of the array of beautiful sea creatures!
