Where to See Father Christmas in North Wales

Can you remember when you were a child and you first met Father Christmas, visited his grotto and his elves? This magical experience is usually a memory that stays with us all our adult lives, and it contributes to making Christmas for children extra special! Here are some of the best places to see Father Christmas in North Wales this year.

Christmas Fayre in Llandudno

The festive celebrations at the Christmas Fayre in Llandudno are magical for both children and adults alike. The fayre attracted over 35,000 visitors last year and 2017 is set to be bigger and better than ever. With over 130 stalls selling unique and special gifts, many of which will be handcrafted, it is a great place to go if you are yet to do your Christmas shopping, or you still have a couple of last minute presents to grab!  For children, the event is captivating, with twinkling lights, festive decorations and of course, Santa himself will be found in his residence over the weekend. Children will be invited into his grotto, where they will meet some of his elves, have the chance to tell Santa what they’d like for Christmas and then, they will receive a gift.

Santa’s Grotto at Greenwood Forest Park

Over the festive season, The Enchanted WoodBarn and GreenWood Forest Park provides hours of fun for your little ones during the cold and wet winter days. With a large indoor play area, there is plenty of space for them to burn some extra energy, while the adults are invited to enjoy a warm drink around the cosy log fire.

Various days in November and December, Santa will be in his grotto, ready to meet all the excited children. They’ll get to meet the big man himself and receive a special Christmas gift from Santa’s sack.

Booking is advised – tickets are £8.50. Entry to the play area is included.

25th and 26th November. 2nd, 3rd, 9th, 10th, 16th, 17th and the 23rd December.

If you’re looking for an extra special meeting with Father Christmas, why not treat the children to a brunch or afternoon tea? They’ll get to enjoy some festive food and meet Santa for a nice chat and receive a gift.

Booking is essential for the brunch or tea – tickets are £9.95.

Brunch – 11 am. Afternoon tea 4 pm.

Santa at SeaQuarium, Rhyl

Father Christmas will be returning to the SeaQuarium at Rhyl this year and tickets are already selling fast! The special event includes admission to the SeaQuarium which consists of nine aquatic zones and the outdoor seal cove. There will be a Christmas themed seal show, a visit from and a photograph with Santa, as well as a special gift. For the adults, a warming hot chocolate and a delicious mince pie will be on offer.

Booking is advised – tickets are £10.99 for adults, £9.99 for children (1-15 years old) and £5.99 for children under 12 months.

Weekends only from the 25th November. Open daily from the 9th-24th December.
