North Wales Events to Check Out This November

The countdown to Christmas is approaching, and that means many festive events are coming our way. There are Christmas fairs, stargazing, food festivals and colourful fireworks to look forward to this month when staying at one of our North Wales caravan parks.

Bonfire Night

There are several Bonfire Night events taking place this weekend on either Saturday 4th or Sunday 5th of November. Find out which events you should head to near our caravan parks, with bonfires, amazing firework displays, fun fairs and hot food and drink included here.

Llandudno Christmas Fayre

Thousands of revellers will be heading to Llandudno between Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th November for the annual Christmas Fayre. The four-day extravaganza will include a Lapland experience with Santa, an elf workshop, virtual reality sleigh ride and the Welsh Cake World Championships. There will be craft stalls, live entertainment and quality food and drink.

Rick Wakeman Piano Portraits

Rick Wakeman is heading to the Pavilion Theatre n Rhyl on Thursday 9th November as part of his sell-out Piano Portraits UK tour. The keyboard player has made chart history this year to have the first solo piano album enter the UK’s Top 10. The show will feature instrumental versions of David Bowie’s hits and many other favourites. Tickets are £25 per person.

The David Bowie Experience

Fans of the legendary rock star David Bowie should head to Venue Cymru on Friday 10th November for The David Bowie Experience. The production will see his work, which spans five decades, brought to life in a colourful and emotional show. The production has been named as one of the most successful and popular tributes to the late singer. Tickets are available through or by calling 01492 872000


On the week leading up to Friday 10th November, you can take part in Treefest at Bodnant Garden near Conwy. The daily events, from 11am, welcomes you to discover the historic and exotic tree collection at the garden and adults and children alike can take part in a variety of woodland events and activities such as guided walks and photographing the autumn colours. Normal admission to the garden applies.


Hundreds of ale lovers are in for a treat with Novemberfest, taking place from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th November at St Mary’s Church Hall in Mold. Sample more than 30 ales, local ciders and great wines at the annual event. The festival celebrates real ale, traditional food and there will be entertainment to enjoy too. Novemberfest begins at 2pm on the 10th, and highlights include an Irish and rock music night. Buy your tickets in advance which are priced as daytime tickets at £4 and evening tickets at £8.

The Band

The fastest selling theatre of all time is heading to Venue Cymru from Tuesday 14th November to Saturday 25th November. The Band is a play featuring the music of popular British band Take That, and the winners of the BBC talent show Let It Shine, Five to Five. The play follows the emotional story of five friends who are fans of a fictional boy band. Book tickets at or 01492 872000.

Stargaze with Cadw

Cadw has teamed up with Dark Sky Wales to host a stargazing session at Harlech Castle on Friday 17th November from 6.45pm to 9pm. You can study the stars and learn stories about Wales’s night-time skies within the grounds of the castle. Highlights include the opportunity to view the constellations of the Northern hemisphere, and tips on how to use telescopes and star maps. If you attend, remember to wear warm clothes and suitable footwear, and take along a torch and blanket. The session is open to ages 12 and above, with tickets costing £10.00 per person.

Lights Switch On

As we get closer to Christmas, the towns and villages of North Wales get ready for Christmas, from markets to switching on their Christmas lights. It is lovely to see towns illuminated by the colourful lights, and the events will often include craft stalls, hot food and drink vendors, live music and more. Some of the lights switch on events in North Wales include Wrexham on Thursday 23rd November, Denbigh on Friday 24th November at 6pm.
