Welsh Traditions

Some of the Welsh Christmas traditions are as old as the historical castles and walls of the buildings that still stand today. You will find that many of the old Welsh traditions are still celebrated and enjoyed over the festive season, to this day. Most people indulge their sweet tooth during the merriments, and the Welsh are no different. One of the well-loved traditions is making Taffy on Christmas Eve. A type of toffee, the Taffy is made and savoured by the whole family, while they take part in games, storytelling and enjoy a meal together. Why not have a go at making your own Welsh Taffy during your stay at one of our North Wales caravan parks?
