North Wales one of the top 5 UK holiday destinations

What a weekend of fabulous weather we have had here in North Wales, and the rest of the week looks set to be even hotter. Those who have bought one of our Wales holiday homes for sale will be making the most out of our fabulous beaches and outdoor activities, it’s no wonder North Wales has just been voted in the top 5 of the best places to go on holiday in the UK! We have known for a while just how awesome North Wales is as a holiday destination, but the recent Travelodge Holiday Index Survey has officially put North Wales in its top 5 UK holiday destinations, with 2017 the ‘Year of the Staycation’ with 55% of Brits holidaying within the UK over the coming months. Managing Director of North Wales Tourism, Jim Jones said: “The visitor economy in North Wales is booming, and one of the reasons is the increasing popularity of Staycations. “As well as being within a two-hour drive of a quarter of the UK’s population, we can cater for all kinds of holidays packed into a compact geographic area which means you can go for a dip in the sea in the morning and climb Snowdon in the afternoon. “We have now firmly established North Wales as a world class go-to place for adventure tourism thanks to developments like Zip World and Surf Snowdonia. “We estimate that in excess of £100 million of mainly private sector money is currently being invested in tourism-related projects in North Wales. “We’ve also got a growing range of accommodation that can cope with the demand for our world-class attractions.” We have many fantastic activities, locations and attractions to visit, and a whole host that are completely free. Duncan Gilroy, from Anglesey Boat Trips, added: “The good weather we had over Easter and Whitsun has definitely helped fill our fast boat trips. “But what we are finding is that more and more of our clients are planning their holiday activities well in advance, and our bookings for boat trips in August are at the highest level they have ever been!” See exactly why North Wales is one of the best places to go on holiday in the UK by pressing play below.   Video courtesy of Huws Studio Production/YouTube
