Hysterical comedy events happening in North Wales

                 Here at Lyons we love letting out a good laugh – who doesn’t? And for those who have bought one of our holiday homes for sale, Ruthin and the surrounding area has some amazing comedy acts performing in the coming months, which are sure to make your side split with laughter! Whether you prefer your comedy with a political element or enjoy observational humour there is something for everyone when it comes to comedy in North Wales. We have a had a look at all the upcoming events for 2017 and picked out four of our favourites which you can see below:  Mrs Brown’s BoysFrom the 23rd -25th March, Brendan O’Carroll’s hugely successful BBC 1 show Mrs Brown’s Boys heads to the Rhyl Pavilion Theatre for a return of their hysterical live show. Part of the original three plays that first introduced the public to Mrs Brown, ‘Good Mourning Mrs Brown’ is an award winning live comedy show that will show you just why the BBC picked it up and turned it into one of the most popular British sitcoms of the last twenty years. What’s best is that these shows in North Wales are the warm-up shows, meaning that you’ll be the first people to see the performance before it goes on a national tour!  The Now Show with Hugh Dennis and Steve PuntFunny duo Hugh Dennis and Steve Punt are bringing their BBC Radio 4 comedy show ‘The Now Show’ to Llandudno on the 30th March where they will be recording their show at the Venue Cymru. Hugh, best known for his appearances on ‘Mock the Week’ and ‘Outnumbered’ and his comedy partner Steve have been working together for close to thirty years and it shows in their witty back and forth humour. The radio programme consists of topical sketches, stand-up comedy, songs and interviews and a witty view of the week’s events and news.A guest cast of comedians will be joining the pair but have yet to be named, but if there past guests are anything to go by, viewers will be in for a treat as people like Al Murray, Rory Bremner, Nish Kumar and Barry Cryer have graced the show before.  Joel Dommet: LiveMay 25th sees I’m a Celebrity Star Joel Dommet head to Wrexham as part of his nine-month solo tour. It is his first tour since he shot to national fame last year after coming second to Scarlett Moffatt in ITV1’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here and he’s already sold out 33 venues since announcing the nationwide tour. Tickets for the William Aston Hall show in Wrexham will be hotly sought after if his hugely successful Edinburgh Fringe Festival performances are anything to go by.  Jasper Carrot: Stand Up and Rock TourLegendary comedian and actor Jasper Carrot is returning to North Wales for his latest tour where he will be heading to Venue Cymru on November 9th. Jasper has a career that only many performers can only dream of, and aside from being a household name he’s also picked up a BAFTA, BBC TV Personality of the Year, a Gold Medal at the New York TV and Film Awards and was awarded an OBE back in 2003. Joining him is Bev Bevan, the iconic drummer and founding member of The Move and ELO, making up the rest of the band is Geoff Turton from the Rockin Berries, and ex Wizzard member Phil Tree along with session musicians Tony Kelsey and Abby Brant which will be fronted by singer Suzi Woo.Expect plenty of laughs and rocking music from the 60’s and 70’s on an evening out like no other!   Other articles you may also want to read:Wales’s best hidden facts that you probably didn’t knowThunderCat racing is coming to North Wales
