Fantastic festive pantomimes happening in North Wales this festive season

The holidays are coming, lights are going up in towns across the country, the cold weather is setting in and mince pies and mulled wine line the shelves in shops, but there is another fun thing that  returns at this time of year… pantomimes! There is lots of festive fun near our North Wales holiday parks from Christmas markets, shopping and festive food, but pantomime really takes the Christmas biscuit for family fun, with a large variety of shows to choose from during the holiday break. Families across the region, as well as guests at our holiday parks, head to local theatres to shout ‘HE’S BEHIND YOU’ mid-performance and to enjoy the wonderful musical numbers as popular fairy tales are performed live on stage.Below you will find five shows that are being performed close to our North Wales holiday parks: Jack and the Beanstalk Happening at the Theatre Colwyn in Colwyn Bay between December 17th – 31st. Tickets are £12 for Adults, £10 for Concessions and £9 for Children.Packed with songs, brilliantly designed sets and lots of laughs, Jack and the Beanstalk at Theatre Colwyn is the perfect festive pantomime for children of all ages and, of course, adults of all ages! Peter Pan Being performed at Rhyl Pavilion between December 9th and January 7th this is a show not to miss. Peter Pan is the ultimate adventure for every child and adult who never wants to grow up! Let your imagination fly with Peter Pan and the Darling children and travel all the way to Neverland from Rhyl where you’ll meet the Lost Boys, battle Tiger Lily and escape from the conniving Captain Hook. Tickets range from £9 – £14 depending on your seats. Aladdin Venue Cymru in Llandudno will be performing Aladdin between December 10th – 31st and stars Welsh rugby legend Gareth Thomas. Packed full of the traditional pantomime banter such as laugh out loud comedy, beautiful set scenery, stunning outfits and plenty of boos and hisses. Follow Aladdin, his brother Wishee Washee, and of course his mother Widow Twankey as you travel this adventure on your magic carpet! Tickets start at £17. Cinderella Being performed in Stiwt, Wrexham, and with TOWIE star Ricky Rament diving into his first panto role,  is one of the most well-known fairy tales and is definitely a show not to be missed! With just a glass slipper left behind, will Ricky Rament’s Prince Charming be able to find his princess? Adult tickets are £15.50 and children’s are £13.50. Blodeuwedd Also showing at Rhyl on November 29th and in Pontio, in Bangor, between December 7th – 9th is Blodeuwedd, offering a different tale compared to the traditional pantomimes.Welsh people believed that it was the powers of night and day fighting each other and after a very ferocious battle between the eagles of the sun and huntsmen of the night, a little baby fell to earth. The baby was Lleu, the son of Eryr yr Haul and during this production we will hear about the strange events leading to Blodeuwedd falling in love with Lleu.
