Kick start your half-term with these events in North Wales

Half-term is here, and no doubt the kids are very excited about a trip to North Wales and staying at our caravan parks. From the Conwy Feast and medieval re-enactments at Mold, there is plenty of events happening this weekend to kick start what will undoubtedly be a fantastic half-term break with your kids. If you are staying at our Conwy holiday park, check out the ‘Conwy Feast’, which is to be awarded protected European Union status at a ceremony at the Feast. Visitors can buy Welsh produce, and food and drink from all around the world, such as authentic Spanish wine. There will be demonstrations from top cooks and music to entertain the younger visitors. Under 16’s can get in for free and adult tickets are priced at £8.80.  For some outdoor adventures, head to the RSPB Conwy nature reserve for the ‘Celebrate the Night’ event to try and spot nocturnal wildlife. Visitors can also have a chance to learn about astronomy and for the children, there will be storytelling, art, and music. During the day there will be a pop-up planetarium at Llandudno Leisure Centre nearby. The event will go on until 9.30pm If you are heading to Llandudno on Sunday, stop to see the annual Trafalgar Day Parade starting at Llandudno Pier around 11.30am, which then goes on to the Cenotaph for a short service. Everyone is welcome to take part or watch, as the event commemorates the victory of Lord Nelson’s fleet at the Battle of Trafalgar on October 21, 1805. At Mold, the North Wales Trust have organised a day of activities for tomorrow, Saturday 22 October, at various locations, including the Bowling Green and Town Park starting from 10.30am. There will also be a medieval re-enactment at Bailey Hill. Watch displays about weapons, pike drills, drumming and crime and punishment. Visitors to the event are encouraged to bring along a picnic.  There are even more fantastic family-friendly events taking place over the course of the half-term week, and when looking for static caravans for sale, North Wales is an ideal place to visit, with something great happening every time you do. Photo by: Jeff Buck
