Exciting activity filled day in Rhyl, North Wales.
Rhyl Town Council have organised an activity day alongside Denbighshire County Council’s Countryside Service and North Denbighshire Communities First. The event will be held across the town of Rhyl on Saturday the 17th of September, running from Brickfield pond down to the town’s harbour. Rhyl County council recently started a new events programme, of which this will be the second event, following the success of the Queen’s 90th birthday event. In contrary to the first event, which purely focussed on the town, this activity day will move further afield and celebrate the country and seaside. The large scale of the event encourages visitors to discover some of the hidden treasures that the town of Rhyl has to offer, with something exciting to explore around every corner. The event will follow a route on which there will be an array of free activities for all the family to enjoy. Visitors can have a go at a variety of different activities ranging from fishing to countryside crafts, storytelling and cycling. An evening bat walk will also be hosted around the beautiful setting of Brickfield pond but there are only 30 spaces, so make sure you book in advance to avoid disappointment! There really is something for all the family at this outdoor activity filled event. The adults can enjoy a Nordic walk and take in the scenery or sit back and watch a film at the outdoor cinema, while the children can see a thrilling birds of prey demonstration or even give mountain biking a go.This is going to be a fun filled day not to miss in the pretty town of Rhyl. Caravan parks are a plenty if you are looking for a family friendly place to stay. Image Dennis Van Zuijlekom Image Dennis Van Zuijlekom https://www.flickr.com/photos/dvanzuijlekom/
