Colwyn Bay set to host the first ever bubble rush in North Wales this summer

“Bubble rush” is coming to North Wales for the first time ever this summer and Colwyn Bay’s has been announced and the lucky hosts! After the huge success of the colour runs, St David’s Hospice recently revealed plans for the widely-enjoyed bubble rush to come to the region. If you don’t know what the bubble rush entails, it’s a five kilometre run that is dotted with stations where high powered foam cannons blow out a bubbles – 30 cubic metres a minute – that runners run through. The event will take place on 21st August at Eirias Park in Colwyn Bay, a short drive from our holiday parks. Wales as a whole is always great at getting behind things like this, so we’re sure that there’ll be a great turn out for the event! A spokesman for the charity said: “It will be the perfect event for all the family. “A trained team will man each foam cannon to make sure you get covered in plenty of coloured frothy foam. “Don’t worry if you’re not a runner as the course is not timed. “Any level of runner or walker can do this; you do not have to be someone that is serious about running.” For more information on the event and to sign up, go to Image courtesy of donnabutler69/Instagram
