New solar-powered water slide arrives at North Wales family attraction

If you have just bought one of our static caravans for sale in Conwy then there’s one place you’ll definitely want to visit with the whole family; GreenWood Forest Park. What’s more is that there is a brand new solar-powered waterslide attraction that is a UK first!  This amazing new attraction saw GreenWood Forest Park spend a cool £1-million on its SolarSplash ride, just 25 minutes away from Conwy, in Gwynedd. The ride sees revellers, on-board inflatable boats, descend down the thrilling 60m wave chutes alongside a 91m spiral tube chute. In order to assist with the powering of the ride GreenWood installed a set of solar panels, which meet 80% of the power needs for the entire park annually. Visitors descend down the slides in two-man dinghies at speeds reaching up to 25mph. What’s more, the ride is great for the whole family as it’s available for ages three and up, or anyone at least 95cm tall. If you were worried about getting wet, fear not, Greenwood have said that as the dinghies skim the waters on the way down, you’ll stay nice and dry. Ideal! The eco-themed park also boasts a GreenDragon Roller coaster powered by human energy.
