North Wales inspired me to be an illusionist, says Derren Brown

Renowned illusionist Derren Brown always enjoys a trip to North Wales, as it was a visit to Llandudno that inspired him to take up magic in the first place. In a recent interview, Derren stated “I have very fond memories of the theatre in Llandudno. I was a student and attended a magic convention. “It was during the show, when I was sat right at the very back, that I first knew I was going to perform magic.” Now, the multi-award winning performer will be bringing his new live show Miracle to Venue Cymru for a week beginning on the 28th March. Miracle is his seventh live show, and has enjoyed a tour and a run on London’s West End before heading out on tour again. He has also quashed rumours that this will be his last tour, saying “It has been 14 years of touring, and that’s with writing a new show every two years. “I may do something overseas for a change, but nothing major here in 2017. After that I’m not sure. I love touring so I don’t imagine I’m stopping for good quite yet.” Derren is performing at Venue Cymru – just a short distance from our holiday homes for sale in Conwy – from the 28th March to 2nd April.
