Doggy dinner menu gets tails wagging in Conwy

It’s not every day you can walk into the pub, sit down with your four legged friend and each of you pick a meal from your respective menus. But that is just what can happen at a pub in Conwy, and it is proving to be a huge success! This unique dining experience is offered at the Albion Alehouse in Conwy, and the pub’s owners have stated it has proved to be extremely popular with walkers and their furry friends. The menu offers dogs the choice of three tasty dishes including lamb and rice kibble, salmon and potato or chicken and rice cubes. The prices are extremely good as well, with small bowls costing £1.99, and a large bowl for only £2.99. Stuart Chapman-Edwards, joint landlord of the pub stated that it started as a bit of a novelty idea, but the idea seemed to catch people’s attention. “The dogs have their own little menus on the table and all the food is gluten free and good for their joints. We’ve also started doing it at our other pub in Porthmadog.” The pub won the CAMRA North Wales Pub of the Year award in both 2014 and 2015, and has an excellent menu for the humans as well, with a fine selection of local ales. So if you are joining us on a dog friendly holiday in Wales, why not check out the AlbionAlehouse in Conwy?
