North Wales economy set for £2 billion boost thanks to adventure attractions

The tourism industry is set to inject in excess of £2bn into North Wales’ economy in 2016 alone, thanks largely to the adventure-style attractions that are at the forefront of the expansion of the regions existing appeal. The managing director of North Wales Tourism, Jim Jones, stated that more than £100m of mostly private money will be put in in the sector, this year, in North Wales. Recently, the Welsh Government assigned 2016 ‘The Year of Adventure’ and it’s this sector – combined with our striking scenery and amazing heritage – that remains putting Wales on the map internationally. One of the best examples of the fantastic attractions on offer here near our caravan parks, North Wales in recent times is Zip World. There are also set to be new Bounce Below style nets added to the Zip World family, at Tree Top Adventure, but they will be up in the trees. Additionally, a Zip World Safari will offer those looking for a zip wire ride that’s a little less adrenaline-fuelled, a ride through the forest. Furthermore, there are plans to introduce an alpine toboggan ride, should the planning permission be secured.  Photo courtesy of Trip Advisor, under Creative Commons.
