Conwy labelled as must visit for tourists from Japan

The beautiful medieval town of Conwy has now been labelled as a “must visit” town by people living in Japan, helping to put North Wales firmly on the map for Japanese tourists. Conwy was voted as one of the prettiest towns in Europe last year by the Japanese, and the only location in the UK to make the top 30. This has helped promote Conwy as a destination that all Japanese tourists should visit if they travel to the UK, which will help boost the entire region. New boss of North Wales Tourism Jim Jones has said that the Asian market could well be a big one for North Wales. “There are soon to be direct flights from China to Manchester, and we are set to launch a brand new marketing campaign at the airport highlighting what North Wales has to offer,” he said recently. Conwy is now being included in a new schedule for tourism promotion throughout Japan, which falls under the theme of beautiful towns, alongside towns in Croatia, Cyprus and Montenegro. Mr Jones also added that a large group of Japanese tourist operators are coming over to Wales next month, and will be taken on a magical mystery tour showcasing the best of North Wales, including showing them Welsh food and learning about the language and culture. If you wish to discover the beauty of North Wales for yourself, why not visit our Conwy caravan park and experience the wonders of the medieval town for yourself?  Photo courtesy of Billlion at the English language Wikipedia
