Christmas light switch ons galore across North Wales!
If you love the sights, sounds, smells, and good spirit that encompasses the annual event of the Christmas Light turn on then you’ll be pleased to know that here in North Wales there’s a whole host of them that you can attend. We’ve picked out a selection for you that are close to our holiday homes for sale in Wales. Which one, if not all, will you go to? Llandudno St David’s Hospice Llandudno Tree of Lights Ceremony is set to be held on Thursday November 26th at 4.15pm. Beulah Brass Band are set to perform as entertainment for visitors. Additionally, dedicate a light on a tree, a beautiful way to remember someone or, perhaps, to celebrate a birth or anniversary in association with North Western Gardens. If you fancy taking part in a dedication, forms are available by calling 01492 873 665, prior to the event. Denbigh 2015 will see the lights switch on in Denbigh take place on Friday November 27th at 6pm. Local stars and Town Mayor, Councillor Raymond Bartley will in charge of the privilege. If you’re peckish, there will also be a hog roast from 5pm with entertainment throughout the evening for all the family. Rhyl This year Rhyl’s light switch on team have announced that there will be a ‘lights switch on party’ from 3.30pm to 6.30pm in the High Street on Thursday November 26th. Adam Thomas who plays character, Adam Barton, from ITV’s Emmerdale, along with classical singing brothers Richard and Adam, will be in attendance to do the honours of switching on the lights. Holywell In Holywell the lights will be switched on by a group of local schoolchildren on Friday November 27th at 5pm. The roads will be closed to traffic as the organisers lay on the event in the town centre from 12 noon until 7pm. Holywell’s switch on also features a fun fair, fireworks, live music, market and the chance to see Santa. Beaumaris If you fancy a little trip while you’re here in North Wales, why not visit Beaumaris? The lights switch on will be part of the Beaumaris Victorian Christmas on Saturday November 28th. If you have a penchant for fancy dress, there will also be prizes for the best efforts while you can visit Santa’s Grotto, not to mention the chance to enjoy the mince pies on offer.
