If you follow the football, you will know that last Sunday (25th October) one of the country’s biggest derby games took place; the Manchester derby. This particular clash between City and United had particular significance for one Red Devils fan from Colwyn Bay, near our static caravans for sale, North Wales. Harri Lyons (great name!) an avid supporter of Manchester United won a competition to design the cover of the United Vs City match programme. At the beginning of October Manchester United offered their fans the opportunity to design the cover for the meeting of the old foes at their Old Trafford stadium. Harri’s design was a seriously popular one, and he beat off more than 450 people, seeing him reach public vote, as one of two finalists. The winner was decided via a Twitter poll, with Harri’s design coming out on top! The winning design, which can be seen here, depicts the two halves of Manchester with Old Trafford in the foreground. The successful design received 55% of the 20,000 votes. Well done Harri! Image: Paul under Creative Commons.
