North Wales sees influx of tourists thanks to warm weather this autumn

Thanks to the pleasant weather at the beginning of autumn North Wales has seen an influx of tourists visiting the area, enjoying what it has to offer, and helping boost the economy. The sun shining over a field in autumn near Lyons Holiday Parks, North Wales caravan salesBusinesses throughout the region benefitted from the boost as recently as this weekend as unseasonably warm weather submersed North Wales in much-appreciated sunshine. If you were here on one of our Ruthin caravan holidays then you’ll no doubt have enjoyed the temperatures which were in the high teens on both days of the weekend. Attractions in the various locations around North Wales saw a boost thanks to the balmy Indian Summer. The National Trust’s Bodnant Garden, near Llanrwst, was one of those attractions which had a plentiful weekend of visitors through its doors, helping to cap off a successful summer. Ken Smith, a spokesman for the charity, said: “We have had an exceptionally good 2015 in Wales this summer, especially considering the weather wasn’t always so good. “We’ve seen a rise of up to 6% and we think that’s a reflection of the hard work a lot of people and because more people are holidaying in the UK and want something they can trust. “The weekend was just the cherry on top really.”
