3 star ratingSeasonal Having pitched our caravan for the season which we thought was a good idea the only problem are the couple that run it. Ian is very friendly and will help but as for the other person she won’t do much. The toilets were clean ish but having to mop the shower out every morning and even before getting one was a bit much. I used the same shower for 3 days running and despite them being cleaned every day apparently, there was what only could be described as hair from a razor present on the tiles for 3 days and longer. The mop was filthy and needed replacing. There was no smell of disenfecant or sanitiser present in the mop bucket. The toilets didn’t have any sanitiser in the water. My husband said that the men’s toilets were even worse and they had to clean the toilet before using them which was the same with the showers. You are only supposed to have one awning up according to the site rules for seasoned pitches but unless you are very friendly with Jo and Ian then you can have 2 up! It is advertised as serving food bacon butties etc but I have yet to see one being sold. I doubt we will be back this year as it’s very much “one rule for friends and one rule for others”. It’s a shame as it’s a nice site but could do... Having pitched our caravan for the season which we thought was a good idea the only problem are the couple that run it. It’s a shame as it’s a nice site but could do with the toilet/shower area being cleaned more often. AND WITH A CLEAN MOP!! More

5 star ratingCant wait to go back! Nice little campsite. Everyone we spoke to was so friendly and chatty. The kids made loads of friends and we had tears when we had to leave. The park seems well looked after. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the long trek to the toilet block which was near the office, in the middle of the night, but as we now know this, we will bring out porta loo with us next time. The added bonus was being able to use Robin Hood, there swimming pool was great, even though we had to wait to get in as it was so busy, it was worth the wait. The kids can not wait for there next trip.

4 star ratingOk This is a site if you have kids / grandkids can I have well there isn't a lot to ask for but plenty of peace . The children have a good play area and can go about freely with new found friends. There is a free taxi at evenings to take you to the main complex ( which is a hike and a half without it) but if a rest is what you need here it is without the expense and I found mist regulars very friendly but make sure you do your shop as the camp shop is sparse

4 star ratingLovely site Stayed here for two nights of 18th-19th August. We had a storm that weekend and the tent field is very open to the elements, but thankfully our tent stayed put. the lady in the office was lovely and handed us a map to show our allocated pitch. The only reason I haven't gave 5 stars is that the toilet block is looking quite scabby and the showers look old and dirty, but on the plus side are lovely and hot. Also, on the last night someone came and pitched their tent on our pitch right next to our tent so they could use the electric hook up, but the reception was closed and we had no signal to phone the emergency number to get this sorted, as there were health and safety risks of a fire with tents so close, and the fact they parked their car right in front of our tent door as the attached photo shows.

5 star ratingPerfect for families. As a child I visited st Mary's with my parents, and have many fond memories.

In 2015 I decided to take my 4 children and niece and nephew, mainly as a nostalgic trip down memory lane. After falling in love again with st Mary's we booked a seasonal caravan plot, for the last two seasons.

We use the shower and toilet facilities due to have an older van. We have always found them clean and tidy.

The site is very well cared for by Ian, however thanks to some disrespectful people can become messy, but is cleaned promptly.

Jo on reception is a superstar, and is always on hand to help with any queries!

Ps try jo's cakes or bacon butties!

4 star ratingEnjoyed our stay! Me and my partner have just got back from a 3 night stay here camping. The staff were super friendly and helpful. They have a fishing lake on site which is a nice touch as my partner loves his fishing. In a good location not to far from local attractions and there is a Stonehouse Restaurant right across the road (for when you fed up on the bbq). The only reason i didnt give this a 5 start rating was the toilet/shower facilities as i had to share my shower with a giant spider web and 2 spiders, it really could do with being cleaned more regularly and could do with a touch up to be honest. the showers were on a push tap which was really annoying as the water went off every 5 seconds so you have to keep pressing to keep the water on and i found it hard whilst trying to wash my hair.
